Expelled from the fortified paradise of the city, in the eighteenth century they reproduced the vaulted cross of the colonial Church on my crabber hills. In the twentieth century, in addition to the sumptuous mass at Sagrado Corazón, the Gothic one in Miramar, and the English-speaking one at Stella Maris, Protestant services and Jewish synagogues proliferated until, not long ago, a Buddhist center was founded. More than a century ago, secret African-based religions began to take root. With or without a temple, even today, though less devout, I am still the priest of multiple deities.
